22 December 2009: I've got a nasty shock of my life when I came back from overseas and first found that my site was down for more than a week. I'm sure that I had fully cleared all the payments, and since I can still get into the site backend cleared my doubt. This was when I got another nastier shock upon further investigation...
As a short summary on what really happened on the 12 December:
- Someone logged into my site backend using FTP.
- He/she uploaded ".htaccess" to my site, overwriting what I had previously.
Due to my ".htaccess" being overwritten, two things happened:
- The main purpose of the new ".htaccess" is to redirect all search engines visitors to the malware site.
- The new ".htaccess" unfortunately (but also fortunately) caused my site to go down. Other visitors will instead saw an error page.
Normally changing the ".htaccess" should not bring down the whole site, but mine is a little "different" ^^. Luckily because of this, I'm able to locate the modification and revert it. Unfortunately all these happened when I'm overseas and I'm unable to keep the damage to the minimum...
9 August 2009: Happy 44th Birthday, Singapore
. ^^
1 July 2009: Firefox 3.5 is now released, but I'm still not able to release the next version of the Add-on in time... Sorry! You may throw abuses at me now.
Again, the official Neopets Toolbar will not work in Firefox 3.5. And with the Add-on not working either, Firefox 3.5 users will not have access to Tarla giveaway temporary...
19 June 2009: An update on what is going on: Yes, there is an issue with the newly implemented pop-up alert in Add-on 3.0.0, which I've decided to ditch that and look for another alternative. Once tested to be working on all three main operating systems, I'll post it up for testing.
And ealier this month, I'm lost partial access to my swordfire.net domain from home and on my mobile. This means that I'm not able to receive and send emails at home, but I'm still able to access the domain via a workaround. Until this is resolve, I won't be able to reply to all emails promptly.
12 May 2009: Just to say that I am still alive... I blame it on real life.
22 March 2009: Apart from the additional Daily Dare button added to the Neopets Toolbar, one other minor change is the highlighting colour is now fix at yellow. Zoom script is also added (I can't remember if this feature is available in the previous version, but the script was indeed newly added).
But unfortunately for this version, the neomail alert feature is now broken. This is what I get while monitoring the dump:
EXCEPTION :: vsiUtils.HandleNeopetsNeomailXMLData() ::TypeError: xmlDocument.evaluate is not a function
TNT/VSI had changed that particular code, but shouldn't they just test it first before releasing to the public? *face palm*
Since everything else is generally the same, the Add-on can still safely piggyback onto the Neopets Toolbar. The only issue is the neomail alert, which will not work due to TNT/VSI mistake.
Finally, since the Neopets Toolbar is now (sort of) working in Firefox 3.0, the EULA which I wrote at the Mozilla depository will now apply. This means that for the next version, the Add-on will require the Neopets Toolbar to work (same as what was required in the past).
Also for those users who are still using Firefox 2.0, it is now highly recommended to switch over to Firefox 3.0. There will be no more updates for the Firefox 2.0, and any security holes found will not be patch.
17 March 2009: It is about time! Neopets Toolbar 3.0.2564.27062 is now released and asking everybody to download it (manually...). For this version, it's finally supported in Firefox 3.0. But with the Firefox 3.1/3.5 coming soon, let's hope TNT/VSI do not delay their release again.
This version also includes a number of unknown changes, and I'm in the process of reviewing all changes. As such, the Neopets Toolbar Add-on MIGHT clash with this version of Neopets Toolbar. Until I can check through all changes, try not to run both Neopets Toolbar and the Add-on together unless you are willing to proceed at your own risk.
I do notice one additional button image for the current Daily Dare event, thus I highly suspect that they are willing to maintain the Neopets Toolbar now. Let's hope.
Thanks to TheDailyNeopets forum for the update! If not for your forum post, I wouldn't have knew about the Neopets Toolbar update.
Chinese New Year: Happy Chinese 牛 Year! :D (牛 níu = new)
10 January 2009: The site did went down yesterday... X(
Everything seems to be migrated over successfully, though I will have to double-check the news script in case there is a change in the server time-zone.
8 January 2009: This site is currently undergoing migration to a new server. Even though there is no downtime for the site, please be aware that the new news alert might be affected.
New Year Day: Wish everybody a pleasant 2009! (And somebody kick that bear out of the stock market!)
Christmas Day: Merry Christmas everyone! :)
21 December 2008: Apologies to those who sent emails to me while I'm overseas for the past 5 days. I'll respond to all emails as soon as possible.
12 December 2008: I am now officially holding on to my Macbook. Fully updated, but not yet fully charged... :P

7 December 2008: Did I mention that I finally get a Macbook? :D Now I can't use "I do not have a Mac to test on" as an excuse *heh heh*. (Trivia: I am now using three kinds of operating systems - Linux as my main OS on PC, Windows as my second OS on PC, and Mac on Laptop. I'll switch to Windows whenever I need some testing, especially IE and beta version of Firefox.)
And I got knock down by a car... Not serious, but I have to rest my butt for the next few days *Ouch*.
20 November 2008: The server was down for several hours yesterday due to a hard disk fault (that is what my webhost claims... Why are all the hard disks failing all around me...?). The news alert is the only thing which was affected by this, thus the reason behind the late alert.
5 November 2008: My sis had gave birth to a baby girl - Congrats! :D
And as for my lack of activity - My ~3 months old primary hardisk had failed me (come on...! Such a short life span?!?). I'm still in the process of rebuilding my OSes from scratch. Luckily I have a backup available, thus it is only a minor setback.
23 September 2008: The VSI server is currently unable to return the status of unread neomail(s), thus the cause of the permanent red status colour for the neomail button. Since the VSI server is still able to respond for Tarla and email alert, TNT must have changed something to the neomail today...
Until TNT or VSI fixes the problem, the neomail status will be non-operational. As such, please send this particular bug to TNT.
Updated: It is now fixed and operational, after being down for more than half a day.
16 September 2008: The server went down a few hours ago, causing the news checking script to go on strike. There was a clash between the workers and the local police, debris flew all over the place... wait, where was I? Oh, it's now resolved. Heh heh...
30 August 2008: Mozilla is currently pushing out Firefox 3 to all users as of 25 August, and there is a sudden influx of users trying to make Neopets Toolbar works on Firefox 3.
The previous trick to make Neopets Toolbar works for Firefox 2 more than a year ago DOES NOT work this time. You can change the maxVersion and/or disable secure checking in Firefox 3, but something is definitely broken in Neopets Toolbar when installed in Firefox 3.
Currently there are two solutions: One, downgrade back to Firefox 2. I've added another link under "Status: Versions" section to download the previous Firefox 2. Uninstall Firefox 3 and re-install Firefox 2.
Two, use the Neopets Toolbar Add-on WITHOUT the Neopets Toolbar enabled. The Add-on will handle the alert checking until Neopets Toolbar is officially fix. As for the reason why Neopets Toolbar must be disabled - The Add-on will throw the alert checking back to Neopets Toolbar if it detects an enabled Neopets Toolbar. Since Neopets Toolbar is not working in Firefox 3, both the toolbar and the Add-on will fail to work.
28 August 2008: I have to bring the whole domain down to make sure that nothing was changed on any of the pages - This is a precautionary measure, especially when everybody are worried about XSS, hacking, etc. Please be assured that nothing strange was detected for this particular subdomain (ntaddon.swordfire.net).
Here is a brief summary: Basically the compromise is server wide, which means all domains on the same server are affected and my domain is not specifically targeted. Thus far it's only targeting the main domain index page, adding hidden links (or rather "commented" links. Totally hidden and not clickable by users - Most likely it's for the search engine, such as Google, to capture). I've since revert it back to original. The cause is (sort of) found and it seems that several other webhosts are affected as well.
16 August 2008: The news monitoring script failed to retrieve the new news on the 15th of August, though I have no idea was it because the script truly did not see the update, or one of the TNT member is truly a workaholic... I've manually updated the date on the server.
9 August 2008 (Backdated): Happy Birthday Singapore! :)

22 July 2008: Neopets Toolbar Add-on 3.0.0beta3 uploaded. This is mainly for fixes to improve the stability of the alerts. It'll be uploaded to the Mozilla repository by today.
21 July 2008: Just to give everybody a heads up - There may be a dummy new news alert for today, due to changes made to the cron script. Sorry for the inconvenience.
5 July 2008: It's a mystery why the cron job decides to return a blank result, resulting in the Add-on triggering a fake alert. I've double-checked the script, and there is no problem with the data returned. In any case, I've manually re-added the correct data back, which may trigger another alert. :P
1 July 2008: The bug which causes the Add-on to trigger an alert randomly was found. Due to the annoyance caused by this bug, I've to release a bug fix urgently. At the same time, this release is also to make sure that the Firefox update is working just fine... :)
28 June 2008 Update 2: Neopets Toolbar Add-on 3.0.0beta1 uploaded and ready for download here. If you notice, I've re-organized the page layout and colour scheme. :D There will be more changes as time goes on...
I'm SO sorry for the delay again and again (and yet again). To those whom I mentioned that it'll be released before today, you may inflict your punishment on me now. XP The main priority for this beta release is to make sure the alert is up and running for Firefox 3 (without Neopets Toolbar, since it's definitely not working very well in Firefox 3). Now it's up, the next objective is to implement a few more left-over features and do a final clean up.
28 June 2008 Update 1: Neopets Toolbar Add-on 3.0.0beta1 uploaded to the Mozilla repository, currently awaiting for the reviewer to approve it. Once approved, users who downloaded the add-on from the Mozilla repository will automatically updated to the new version, provided they are using Firefox 3. Users who are still using Firefox 2 will not be able to download and install (Sorry, it is due to technical differences. Mozilla promises to backport FUEL to Firefox 2. Until then, Firefox 2 is not supported).
As for the download on this site, give me some time to sign and upload it properly, so it does not give everybody else trouble for future updates.
18 June 2008: I've to apologise for not able to release the add-on before Firefox 3 is officially released. Perhaps I should start by staring blankly at a wall (comically derive from the Chinese phrase “面壁思过” - "Facing the wall, reflecting on oneself" :P). I will (and must) finish this by this week, otherwise my planned schedule will be totally trashed (I have an incoming -paid- project request ready to start, just waiting for the green light...).
9 June 2008: First, let me apologise for the ultra high contrast site you're looking at now for the past one and three quarter years... Hopefully nobody have to resort to digging out their eyes. :P
Yes, this site has been around for almost 2 years and it's about time for an overhaul. I wonder why I chose such a striking high contrast colours in the first place... Perhaps due to my mild colour weakness? (At least I can still read the colour code on a resister. :P)
Changing the site is already on my todo list, though it's right after I release the next version of the add-on (which is unfortunately behind schedule *panic mode*).
Update: Now critically behind schedule...
12 May 2008 Part 2: Currently there are only two sites which I actively monitor specifically for Neopets Toolbar Add-on - Here and the Mozilla Firefox repository. These two are also the only two locations where I uploaded the extensions personally. I will not be held responsible for any downloads outside these two locations.
I do appreciate that some decided to upload the extension (or direct download link) to external download sites, but it'll be better if you link to the index page rather than to the extension XPI. The index page will never change, while the extension XPI is more likely to change/relocate.
12 May 2008 Part 1: After reviewing and then placing it on hold, I finally decided to abandon the request for trades and neofriend alerts. The reason behind it is rather simple - Random events.
Almost every pages on Neopets are directly connected to random events. If I had proceed with the request without due thought, I would have accidentally create an auto-refresher for harvesting random events - Well, you get the point. It is a nice idea though, but unfortunately it is currently not possible to implement. I'll still keep this idea in case there is a change in the scenario (no-random-event page or a special output page similar to the Tarla/neomail/webmail alert).
But what about the news alert? That is slightly different - Login is not required to view the Neopets news page, thus random event doesn't work either.
4 May 2008: Due to changes made to Firefox 3 DOM, one of my add-on's features broke. X(
So what is broken? The new pop-up introduced in Neopets Toolbar Add-on 2.2.0. As such, I have to look for another alternative other than going back to the old style pop-up (I will not fall back to that old pop-up alert, even if you threaten me!). The drop down notice used by Firefox 2/3 gives me an idea
.
I'm not sure how well this will work though, since I've yet to implement into the working script.
And I'll not release the next version of the Add-on until Mozilla releases their next version (ie. release candidate 1), even if I complete mine first. Currently Firefox 3 Beta 5 introduces a bug which broke several extensions which uses a certain new technology introduce in Firefox 3, mine inclusive. From the screenshot, you'll notice that I have to use Minefield to do the testing...
5 April 2008: Firefox 3 beta 5 released a few days ago, and soon enough will be the release candidate 1. For those who wishes to try their luck running Neopets Toolbar on Firefox 3, you can try the same method listed within the "Tips & Tricks" section for Firefox 2. There are several points to take note though: One, "Mr Tech Local Install" add-on does not work, since he have not update his add-on yet. Two, other than modifying the maxVersion within install.rdf, you also need to trick Firefox 3 that Neopets Toolbar provides secure update. In order to do that, the easiest method is to change "http" to "https" for "updateURL" within install.rdf. Once you modify both maxVersion and updateURL, the Neopets Toolbar will appear - But I can't promise that it'll work though, since I've not tested it yet.
16 February 2008: The server harddisk decided to crash before the scheduled server migration, resulting in two days downtime - One day restoring the site to another server, another day to fix several problems after restoration. So far, I'm still pretty happy with my current webhost, better than my previous webhost anyway.
I'm changing the email address used for receiving and sending emails for this site, since I stupidly used the same address as the one I used for the add-on's ID. A crawler managed to grab the ID (from the source code page) before I create that email, and I received several spams the moment I began using it. Please use my contact form if you have my old email address.
13 January 2007: I'm addicted to the game "Portal
" and its end credit song
:P
Right, right, I've trashed GLaDOS and now I'm back.
23 December 2007: I've just received an email from Mozilla regarding new procedure
for updating of all Mozilla addons. I'll be releasing a fix for users who downloaded the Add-on from here, BEFORE Mozilla release Firefox 3 (No, I'm not going for HTTPS - Too much trouble, and I'm not willing to pay extra for it at the moment... Not to metion whether Mozilla requires us to use Class 3 SSL or Class 2 SSL).
Currently it's not known whether the official Neopets Toolbar will update normally after Firefox 3 is officially release. Within the Neopets Toolbar, they do have a seperate updater which is independant from the Mozilla updater. But it's possible that due to security reasons
, Mozilla may prevent addons from using their own updater. In other word, TNT may not be able to update their own toolbar after Firefox 3 is release, unless they do something about it... I may be wrong though - We shall see.
Update: I just realised some mistakes within this post - Opps... First, it should be Class 1 SSL or Class 2 SSL - Ordinary webmaster is unable to get a Class 3 SSL, even if you threaten :P. Secondly, if TNT is unable to update their toolbar before Firefox 3 is release, the next possible way to auto update the toolbar is to relocate their updates onto HTTPS - Reason: Firefox 3 release > Neopets Toolbar auto disabled due to version incompatibility > Neopets Toolbar internal updater also disabled and fails, fall back to Mozilla updater > Mozilla updater fails, since the updates is not digitally signed nor on a secure server... TNT, DO SOMETHING!
4 November 2007: If you're using Add-on 2.2.0, it should still be able to calculate the correct time for the Snowager and Count Von Roo dailies after the US stops using DST. If not, drop me an email and I'll hunt the bug down. ;)
1 November 2007: My "day" - Do not disturb :P
On a technical note, those who keep track of Mozilla newest Firefox 3 (code name "Gran Paradiso") should know about the changes regarding installing and downloading addons. Both Neopets Toolbar and my add-on will be affected, unless you downloaded my add-on from the Mozilla repository. I'm still deciding whether I should keep the downloads here or just throw everything to Mozilla repository...
12 October 2007: If you have been receiving a lot of dummy Tarla alerts one after another, please send in a bug report to TNT... Apparently Tarla is going crazy again ever since the beginning of this year. As of this post, Tarla seems to calm down after TNT begin their Friday workday.
16 September 2007: While I was looking through the logs, something strange caught my eyes... This happened at around 6.20am of 16th September UTC (if I calculated correctly):
/index.sf?page=news
/index.sf?page=news%20and%20user%3E0
/index.sf?page=news'%20and%20user%3E0%20and%20''='
For those who didn't realise what they are looking at, these are failed hacking attempts. Apparently, he/she thinks that I'm using database to generate these pages and tried to retrieve some information using SQL injection.
Two words: Nice try. I do not use database in this subdomain...
...---...: Live Earth day. Whoever doesn't do their part in protecting Gaia will feel my wrath! ^_^
On the other hand, don't you think that those concerts are using up a lot of electricity? All the lightings, amplifiers, satellite uplink/downlink, etc... *Shrug*
13 June 2007: Updated the Help section, and also added incompatibilities issues in Tips & Tricks section.
Also, if you have any trouble with the Add-on working in Mac, drop me an email. I received two emails from Mac users, but I've yet to receive any reply regarding the current status.
16 May 2007: If you're reading this, you're now accessing my actual webhost again. :D
12 May 2007: Two important announcement: One, sorry for the inactivity for the past one month. Basically there is no changes to the original Neopets Toolbar, a lot of changes to the Neopets site (which result in one big chaos) and some other more important real life activities... :P
Two, my site is not shut down by anyone - It's just the webhost payment system having trouble and suspend my site (Hey - I did pay my bill on time!). In the mean time, I redirect all traffics to my own computer instead, until my webhost unsuspend my account.
As such, I'll temporary shut down the contact form. You can still contact me through neomail in the mean time. Sorry for the inconvinence...
25 March 2007: I rewrote the pop-up alert, so it is less "destructive" for users who are playing a Flash game on Neopets. It is still experimental though, so once it's working for all platforms, I'll permenently covert to this version of the pop-up. As of now, users are still able to use the previous version of the pop-up via the Add-on options dialog.
1 March 2007: Add-on 2.1.0 uploaded.
13 February 2007: I do not know when this happened, but TNT finally release a Firefox 2 compatible Neopets Toolbar (Hurrah!). As such, I had decided that all Windows users must have a working Neopets Toolbar before the add-on will work, starting from the next version of the add-on.
11 February 2007: If you're encountering the add-on's email button displaying in red often, it's most probably not your computer, network, nor TNT fault.
As we all know, Neopets email service is not handled by Neopets, but by VSI. Currently, VSI email service doesn't seem to return the data properly to Neopets Toolbar (and the add-on) - Instead of returning the number of emails the current user has, it'll sometimes return NULL, which my add-on will interpret as invalid data.
Users can report the problem as "Neopets Toolbar sometimes not detecting new emails" to TNT if you wish to. Otherwise, the add-on will still announce new emails once it manages to retrieve the correct data from VSI server.
Tarla and neomail alerts (both maintain by TNT) are not affected. Also, it seems that TNT had fixed the Tarla alert, but I am not entirely sure until the next Tarla alert.
Technical Note: Initially I thought that TNT maintains vsiupdate.neopets.com (Subdomain: vsiupdate ; Domain: neopets.com), but if you try pinging them, it'll become vsiupdate.neopets.vsi.net (Subdomain: vsiupdate.neopets ; Domain: vsi.net)... Go figure...
Update: Right after I posted this news, the problem stops. Now I wasn't sure if they're extremely efficient, or the server just set it back to normal automatically...
4 February 2007: I thought I found another bug within the add-on, until I decided to check the data from the Neopets server...
It seems that the Tarla alert keeps alternating between active and inactive when she appears. Even when a user clears the alert, it may activate again.
For users using Neopets Toolbar, they will notice the Tarla button blinking at all times. But they are not able to find Tarla around.
For users using Neopets Toolbar Add-on, they will receive several pop-ups/audio alert several times after Tarla appears, and may continue to appear after clearing the alert. It'll stop after a few minutes after clearing.
This problem is on Neopets side, so I can't fix it - Sorry...
28 January 2007: Add-on 2.0.0 is now up.
All current users of Add-on 1.3.2, Add-on 1.3.2.1s and Add-on 1.3 for Linux and Mac will update to this current version.
Users who downloaded the Add-on from Mozilla will begin updating sometime during beginning of February (I'm letting users here to have a mass testing before uploading to Mozilla.)
Bugs reporting: Contact
More Info: Neopets Toolbar Add-on v2
Update: Opps - My mistake in the link on the download page. Fixed.
24 January 2007: Add-on 2.0.0d uploaded.
Bug fix complete. Cleaning up codes and finalizing extension.
17 January 2007: Add-on 2.0.0c uploaded.
I think I had caught a cold...
14 January 2007: Add-on 2.0.0b uploaded.
Tarla seems to be confused whether she should be giving out items at the moment...
10 January 2007: Problem with the webhost temporary resolved (for another month until they fix the payment system...). At least that is one less problem to worry about :P
9 January 2007: My worst fear regarding Neopets' security became reality... I had just noticed the warning on Avatarlog
regarding an existing cookie grabber outside of Neopets.
The security hole the cookie grabber is exploiting is attacking a badly written PHP/ASP/JSP/CGI using XSS (Cross Side Scripting - There is a reason why they use XSS instead of CSS... most of you should recognise the term CSS).
Normally, XSS is run when an unsuspecting user click on a specially created link (This is the reason why Firefox prevent websites from changing the status bar by default. If the website is unable to change the status bar, the bar will show the exact address for the link the user is pointing on. If the website have access to the status bar, they'll find ways to hide the info...)
As for the case mentioned by Avatarlog, it is not a link, but an iFrame instead. Using iFrame is similar to sending a user to a specific page without giving them a choice (pop-up/auto-redirector anyone?). The user will have no idea where the iFrame will be going, which is a very good place to insert a XSS...
How to prevent XSS? You can avoid links with XSS by checking the links on untrusted sites - If you find anything wrong with the link (unusually long address with special characters or HTML tags), take that as a warning. If needed, type in the domain name only (neopets.com, swordfire.net, etc.) and search for what you want from there instead of clicking on the link.
But what about iFrame with XSS? You can't... And that is the reason why we have to force TNT to take action immediately. XSS is used because of webmaster carelessness - You can't blame everything on black/white hats.
(XSS doesn't work in places that I know of now. Rejoice! *grin*)
Now... with that out of the way, lets go back to this site *grin*. Currently I'm having trouble with my webhost payment system, which gone haywire for the second time. I managed to get hold of the webhost admin on the webhost forum, and hopefully be able to survive the next 10 days (as mentioned on the webhost automated emails x infinite).
Current status: Suspended (still with access to the ftp and web-based controls)
6 January 2007: I find it interesting (and a little shocked) to find that Neopets will return a value of -1 when they bring the webmail down for maintainance... Interesting to find a new infomation, but shocked to find that it'll break my add-on v2 *ouch*
Updates: What the?!? The webmail went down for maintainance again later in the day, and now it returns NULL instead of -1... At least this time, my add-on didn't went down...
5 January 2007: I have access to my primary email account again, so I'm changing it back to default.
3 January 2007: I had uploaded Neopets Toolbar Add-on 2.0.0a for testing. It was tested in Windows using Firefox 2 (with and without the Neopets Toolbar), as well as Linux (Ubuntu) using Firefox 2. I wouldn't say it's totally bug free, since I'm unable to capture some very elusive bugs (they just appear and disappear on their own...).
I haven't test it on Firefox 1.5 yet, so I can't promise it'll run without problem.
For more info, please refer to this page
.
1 January 2007 (0000 SGT / 1600 GMT / 0800 NST): Happy New Year! :D
And no... Version 2 of the add-on is still not ready yet... Erm... I'm having celebratory mood! Right! :P
31 December 2006: Most of the network communications are now re-routed while the cable repair teams are still fixing the damaged network lines. Considering the current speed and stability of the network, I'll still keep my secondary email account as the default.
29 December 2006: After thinking through for a while, I decided that it's best that I recombine all the different versions together now, rather than waiting for TNT to slowly update the Neopets Toolbar.
For one thing - It'll reduce the extra things I've to do for every update (two of the versions are actually very similar to each other). Another thing is it'll prevent end-user confusion (who are confused about which version to download when you first arrived, say "Aye!").
But there are cons for combining everything: One, the extension will roughly double its size (estimation). Two, a bug fix (usually critical) for any platform (Windows, Linux or Mac) will force all platforms to update to the next version, which may or may not have any improvement over previous version. On the other hand, I may have worried too much...
If you think that I should keep those versions seperated, drop me a message. Otherwise during the next few days, I'll be combining everything together (hopefully without problem) and probably release a beta version for testing.
28 December 2006: Due to a recent earthquake happened at Taiwan, the Asia region is partially disconnected from the US region (in other word - a slow, crowded connection). I had severe trouble logging on to my Primary email account, and as such I had temporary set the default to Secondary email account (which is neomail, by the way).
I have no trouble accessing Neopets, slight problem accessing this addon page, no luck accessing Google... *sigh* this problem might take quite some time to fix...
Oh - Don't bother trying to send an email to my phone either... who knows how much time it'll take to travel from US to Singapore mailbox account.
25 December 2006: Merry Christmas everyone!
21 November 2006: An annoying stray bug had escape my grasp and wracked havoc on the bug capturing script. I had managed to tame the beast and it won't cause any more problem. Sorry for the inconvenience caused for those affected.
19 November 2006: Just recently (exact date unknown), TNT updated their Neopets Toolbar to a newer version. But unfortunately, they didn't update it to be compatible with Firefox 2. If you have any complains regarding this, please send an email
directly to them.
If you're wondering what did they change in this version change: Just a SINGLE image change from a Halloween shop icon back to default shop icon. *faint*
11 November 2006: Sorry for the inconvenience caused for those users who encountered a 404 error (not found) while trying to download the Add-on yesterday. Apparently I went to sleep before confirming everything...
10 November 2006: No!!! *Insert any curse words here* Sorry, due to my programming fault, the Linux and Mac version of the add-on doesn't work according what I wanted... I'll fix it ASAP. (On a related note, this problem also affects 1.3.0.2s users, but if they already had installed Neopets Toolbar before upgrading to Firefox 2.0, they won't encounter this problem... *Insert another curse word here*
Updates: Fixed. *Curse myself again*
6 November 2006: I had transferred by domain to a new web host, so hopefully there will be no more multiple random downtime (It was caused by severe server overload - Average 20+ on 2 CPUs). There is another reason why I changed my web host so hastily... I had an (or two) extremely undesirable neighbour(s).
1 November 2006: My "day", so please let me slack off for today...
25 October 2006: Firefox 2 is officially release and the Neopets Toolbar is officially crash land right in front of Firefox 2... Users of Firefox 2 will automatically update the add-on to 1.3.0s, which will take over the alert/email/neomail checking job from the incompatible Neopets Toolbar.
Update: Opps... My mistake regarding the version - It should be 1.3.0.1s.
25 September 2006: The Neopets Toolbar shouldn't have any problem with the "unactivated" alert now, since TNT updated their toolbar to version 1.5.2445.27748. This add-on will still be around in case anyone still need an alternate method of alerting a user. If you need a feature added to the add-on, feel free to send me a message.
9 August 2009: Happy 44th Birthday, Singapore
. ^^1 July 2009: Firefox 3.5 is now released, but I'm still not able to release the next version of the Add-on in time...

EXCEPTION :: vsiUtils.HandleNeopetsNeomailXMLData() ::TypeError: xmlDocument.evaluate is not a function

The drop down notice used by Firefox 2/3 gives me an idea
.I'm not sure how well this will work though, since I've yet to implement into the working script.
:PRight, right, I've trashed GLaDOS and now I'm back.
Not to metion whether Mozilla requires us to use Class 3 SSL or Class 2 SSL).Currently it's not known whether the official Neopets Toolbar will update normally after Firefox 3 is officially release.
I may be wrong though - We shall see.Update: I just realised some mistakes within this post - Opps...

For more info, please refer to this page
.1 January 2007 (0000 SGT / 1600 GMT / 0800 NST): Happy New Year! :D
If you have any complains regarding this, please send an email
directly to them.If you're wondering what did they change in this version change: Just a SINGLE image change from a Halloween shop icon back to default shop icon.
